Héctor J. Encarnación, DVM

Dr. Héctor J. Encarnación received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. Next, he completed 2 private practice internships in 2005 and 2006. One rotating (small animal medicine, emergency/critical care and surgery internship) and the other exclusively on internal medicine, both in Tampa, Florida at Florida Veterinary Specialists and Cancer Treatment Center. Dr. Encarnación subsequently completed a three-year residency program in small animal internal medicine at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston, Texas in 2009.

His interests include infectious diseases, gastroenterology, endocrinology and endoscopy.

Dr. Encarnación’s family consists of his wife Mónica and their cat Mauro. In his spare time, he enjoys sports, reading and arts, especially music.
